Today, as I was walking past the gardens in between the HFAC and the MOA I realized something.

I am completely, totally and absolutely content.

With school, my life, everything.
It just kind of hit me.
I love my school. I don't care how zoobie that makes me sound, I love BYU with all my heart. I love the campus, I love the professors, I love the students. I love having a professor bring up a scripture or a quote from a prophet in the middle of their lecture. Sometimes it can seem a bit overkill, but I generally don't mind. Because it just all fits together so perfectly. It just makes sense.
I love my job. It's not the most exciting thing, I don't make tons of money, and I will admit its definitely not something I want to do for the rest of my life. But its perfect for right now. I like what I'm doing. I get to choose my hours. I can work as much or as little as I want. I get to do my homework while I'm at work. And while I might not know anyone there (except for Allyson) I really like my boss. I enjoy going to work everyday. I even look forward to it a lot of the time.
I love my classes. Even though they just started and I'm not quite sure what I've gotten myself into, I love them. Most of them anyway. I'm really thinking I chose the right major. Advertising is just perfect for me. I don't mind reading my advertising textbook. I'm actually kind of enjoying it even. That seems like a good sign to me. I've been thinking about minoring in film as well. And my Intro to Film class today made me want to study it even more.
I love the people I'm surrounded by. This could probably go along with the 'I love my school' paragraph above. I've met some great people. People who I've only associated with once or twice, and people who I see and talk to everyday. I've got a great FHE group and a great ward. My roommates are amazing, we all get along so well. Maybe too well. I've made friends and grown so close to certain people, I can't believe I just met them in the last few months. There are so many people who have already left such a strong impact on my life, I almost can't believe it.

Maybe it was just the fact that despite being the beginning of January, it felt like spring today. Fresh, clean, hopeful. It just made me think, and on my bus ride home I began to truly understand how happy I am with my life right now.
This song has been on almost constant repeat the last few days. No matter how rough my life gets, I just need to remember my realization today.

Oh it's been nice being home. As much as I'm loving college, my roommates, and even Provo, it is nice to be home and have my mom cook for me again. And a dishwasher.
But anyway. I've been semi productive with my time at home. What have I done? Found a bunch of new songs of course.
So just go on over the side bar and pause that great playlist I've already got going, and listen to this great new stuff I've found.
Here's one song that I've listened to like 200 times already. I'm so excited for this movie, and I feel like this song will fit it perfectly!

Ok, next song. I love Snow Patrol, I really do. This song is from their new cd, which comes out next year. It's sad, yet amazing. Plus, I love New York.

Here is another one. This one might be more well known, simply because Maroon 5 is well known. But I've never heard this on the radio, so I'll share it anyways.

If you're as big of a Maroon 5 fan as I am, look up the song Just A Feeling as well. It's also an amazing song from the album Hands All Over.

• You might have heard God Gave Me You by Blake Shelton. However, Dave Barnes' version is amazing, if not better than Blake's. Which is saying something, especially since I love Blake.

Andy Grammer.

I love this man. His music is amazing. I'm sad I missed him here in concert a couple weeks ago. He's coming again in January, and has a concert in Salt Lake and St. George. Unfortunately, the one in SLC is 21+, and the one in St. Geezy is the day before the Brad Paisley/Scotty McCreery/Band Perry concert (which I already have tickets to :) ). So that probably won't work out.
Oh well, until next time I'll just have to feed my Andy Grammer addiction with youtube videos. Like this one:

Seriously. Does this song not just make you feel good? Even if you're not a lady. It's an amazing song. And the fact that he's singing it live, acoustically, and he still sounds that good is the best. No auto-tune for this guy.
My favorites by him? Fine By Me (as you can tell, since it's the first song that comes on when you pull up this lovely blog of mine), Ladies, You're Gonna Miss Me, Build Me a Girl... and all the rest of the songs from the cd 'Andy Grammer'. As well as some of his other stuff, which is unfortunately, not on iTunes.

New Design!

So I changed the design of my blog.
Hopefully you noticed.
Does anyone other than me even read this? I have no idea.
Anyways, I'm still not sure how I'm feeling about this new look.
It kind of seems like a lot. But we'll try it out.
There's a good chance it'll change again in a few days or so though.
